We are looking for a highly capable and customer-focused Technical Project Manager to manage and deliver Microlise projects from inception through to successful implementation. This is a hands-on role where you will play a critical part in ensuring software quality, supporting customers, and delivering real business value through effective project execution.
You will act as a key point of contact for customers, working collaboratively to configure, implement, and optimise solutions while ensuring a high standard of service throughout the project lifecycle. What you'll be doing
- Manage and deliver projects effectively from initiation to completion, ensuring customer expectations are met.
- Test and assure software quality prior to release, including interfaces with external systems.
- Support customers through User Acceptance Testing, taking a proactive role in ensuring successful validation.
- Lead customer preparation activities, including configuration workshops both pre- and post-installation.
- Configure systems to meet customer requirements and deliver agreed business outcomes.
- Support customers during implementation, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and coordinating with development teams where required.
- Deliver customer training on system functionality and usage.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with both internal stakeholders and customers.
- Diagnose, log, and manage issues through to resolution, escalating where appropriate.
- Capture and document customer requirements in line with agreed processes.
What we're looking for
- Experience working with Windows-based applications and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to understand technical data flows.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server technologies in a commercial environment.
- Understanding of business environments and operational practices.
- IT background, ideally with exposure to logistics or mobile workforce systems.
- Previous experience with telematics systems and hardware is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
- Ability to build effective relationships across teams and stakeholders.
