What you will be doing: * Development of application code utilising the core Software Engineering languages detailed below * Liaise effectively with other team members across the company * Investigation and resolution of support problems * Liaise with external suppliers for third line support where required * Analyse, assess and advise on the impact of change requests * Test functional enhancements or configuration changes prior to release * Provide implementation and post implementation support as required * Produce relevant documentation to support Software Engineering * Provide out-of-hours support on a rota basis as required What we are looking for: * Passionate individuals who are excited about software development, are eager to learn and who want to forge a long-standing career with Microlise * First or Upper Second-Class Hons Degree in: Computer Science or any Numerate Subject – with programming skills such as C#, C++, or Java with knowledge of basic OO Concepts and SQL * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interpret and relay technical information clearly and concisely * Positive attitude; capable of working under pressure as part of a team * Confident in using your own initiative and proactively thinking outside of the box * An investigative mind-set that approaches issues from all angles, especially for the purpose of identifying workarounds for on-going incidents * Organised and with a flexible approach to adapt to changing priorities Why Microlise?
