  • We have an exciting, brand new position for a Business Analyst, to join our established Product Management team and support one of our biggest customers! We are looking for someone who is inquisitive, and keen to understand customer problems and be part of the solution; our work comes to life quickly, so being able to demonstrate how the technology solution is solving those problems whilst being easy to use is imperative!

    What you will be doing:

  • Use appropriate elicitation methods to identify the business requirements for each piece of work undertaken
  • Use appropriate methods to analyse the requirements
  • Validate the requirements with stakeholders (including external customers, Product Management, architects, UX / UI experts, scrum team members and customer facing parts of Microlise)
  • Identify the stakeholders for each piece of work undertaken
  • Understand stakeholder perspectives and validate their requirements
  • Manage the product backlog and ensure it is refined with sufficient sprint ready user stories for the next sprint planning session
  • Define features and obtain sizing from the scrum teams
  • Contribute to business domain documentation
  • Provide information to stakeholders, appropriate to their needs
  • Provide written release content notes to support wider internal and external communication on what has been delivered.
  • Travel to customer sites based in the Uttoxeter area on a weekly basis, or as and when required
  • What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience in a Business Analyst / Product Management role, ideally within the technology or transport and logistics industry
  • Ability to translate complex business requirement into technical solutions by understanding client requirements and working in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with data modelling techniques for requirements elicitation and analysis
  • Strong negotiation skills and able to challenge client requirements within reason
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, with strong presentation skills and excellent stakeholder management
  • Ability to explain business domain working into technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with visualisation methods (e.g. story boards, prototypes)
  • Experience with validation methods (e.g. solution playback)
  • Understanding and knowledge of product management / business analyst processes (elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, traceability
  • Positive, can-do attitude and able to work autonomously
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • It would be advantageous if you have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of vehicle telematics systems and/or transport logistics
  • An understanding of UML, Class diagrams, Use cases etc
  • Experience of supporting pre-sales workshops and product demonstrations
  • Knowledge of AGILE SCRUM project methodology and BDD
