b Overview /b p As an Applications Engineer at Microchip, you will support maXTouch capacitive touch products through hands-on development, validation, and customer support. You’ll contribute to multi-discipline product teams, shaping next-gen touch solutions and tooling. You’ll apply AI tools to streamline workflows and deliver training to customers while ensuring quality and manufacturability. This role offers global collaboration and a strong culture focused on development and innovation. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Support maXTouch product development and customer projects across local and global teams /li li Design and develop evaluation boards and test equipment for maXTouch products /li li Develop new software tooling using C# and Python /li li Apply AI tools to optimize daily workflows and tasks /li li Advise on innovative solutions for maXTouch customers worldwide /li li Troubleshoot customer designs and recommend improvements /li li Assist with manufacturability and usage issues /li li Deliver training on maXTouch products to customers (in-person and remote) /li li Adhere to company design rules, processes and QA guidelines /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Experience in electronic circuit design (analog and digital) /li li Experience in PCB schematic entry /li li Experience in C# and/or Python software development /li li Experience in embedded C /li li Experience using AI tools (Claude/ChatGPT/…) in work /li li Experience in multi-discipline product development lifecycle /li li Ability to solder and operate lab test equipment /li li Acquire in-depth knowledge of Microchip products and applications /li li 0-7 years post-graduate experience /li /ul ul li Problem solving /li li Effective communication (verbal and written) /li li Ownership and self-direction /li li Electronic circuit design (analog and digital) /li li PCB schematic entry /li li C# and/or Python programming /li /ul
