Included in these opportunities is that of Principal Analog IC Design Engineer. Microchip Technology currently has an opening for an exciting career in the Analog IP development group. The candidate will be joining an experienced analog design team in the Analog IP development group to design and develop analog IPs. This person will be responsible for design, simulation and evaluation of core analog IPs which exists in a typical microcontroller.

The major responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Leading design and simulation of various analog blocks
  • Defining layout floorplans and working closely guiding layout designers
  • IC bench evaluation and validation
  • Supporting technical issues, design documentation and other design aspects
  • Analog design using Cadence tools
  • Collaborating with other teams to successfully bring up new products
  • Work with system and digital teams

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Design experience with deep sub-micron process with focus on Micro-controller Peripheral Architectures, Designs for Ultra Low Power High Speed Analog Mixed Signals
  • Solid fundamentals of transistor level analog integrated circuits and device physics
  • MSEE with >8+ years of design experience
  • Hands-on Design experience with analog modules such as Ultra Low Power Analog Front End, Power Management is a must
  • Working knowledge on ADC, DAC, Amplifiers is preferred
  • Solid knowledge of EDA design tools and Cadence design environment
  • Self-motivated and take full responsibility for solutions
  • Have in-depth knowledge on Microcontroller Architecture and SoC verification skills preferred
  • Strong Communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong knowledge of Analog design using Cadence tools
  • Experience in IC bench evaluation and validation preferred
  • Good interpersonal skills for cross functional work
  • Ability to successfully collaborate in a Global Design Team is essential
