Job Title: Private Equity Financial Modeling Expert
Job Type: Part-time and Full-time
Job Summary:
Join our customer’s team as a Private Equity Financial Modeling Expert and help shape how advanced AI systems learn real-world financial analysis. In this part-time, high-impact role, you’ll bring your transaction experience to design institutional-grade financial modeling tasks that train cutting-edge AI used by one of the world’s largest companies. The work is hands-on, thoughtful, and grounded in how financial models are actually built, tested, and used in practice. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy the craft of financial modeling and want to apply that expertise in a new, meaningful way, without stepping away from their core career.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll translate real transaction workflows into clear, structured modeling challenges that help AI learn how experienced professionals think.
Specifically, you will:
- Design institutional-quality financial modeling tasks rooted in real investment banking, private equity, and growth equity scenarios
- Create thoughtful prompts and execution plans that require AI systems to build models from the ground up, not from templates
- Develop gold-standard reference models and evaluation rubrics to assess accuracy, structure, and financial reasoning
- Build and review advanced transaction models, including:
- Integrated three-statement models
- DCFs (with WACC, sensitivities, and scenario analysis)
- LBO, M&A, and growth equity models
- Construct tasks involving specialized deal types such as recapitalizations, carve-outs, and bespoke transaction structures
- Perform and document diligence-style analyses, including unit economics, cohort behavior, and margin drivers
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers, clearly explaining assumptions, methodologies, and modeling decisions in writing
Required Skills and Qualifications:
You’re likely a strong fit if you have:
- 5+ years of recent, hands-on experience in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, hedge funds, venture capital, or transaction-focused corporate development
- A track record of building complex financial models independently, starting from a blank sheet, not templates
- Deep proficiency in three-statement modeling, DCFs, LBOs, and transaction analysis
- Experience performing scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and risk/return evaluation
- Strong judgment and attention to detail that reflects institutional standards
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with an interest in explaining how and why models work
- Comfort working independently in a remote, high-expectation environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience across both sell-side and buy-side roles
- Exposure to growth-stage or technology-enabled businesses (SaaS, marketplaces, platforms)
- Experience creating, reviewing, or evaluating structured financial content, training materials, or assessment frameworks
- Familiarity with complex or non-standard transactions (carve-outs, spin-offs, minority investments)
