Part-Time Clinical Associate, Natural Medicine Pathway
Rise and Rally Clinical Services, with a training pathway at Micro Healing Center Westminster, Colorado | Part-time | 0 to 20 hours per week (There is an in-person requirement).
Two organizations, one pathway
Rise and Rally Clinical Services (RRCS) is a behavioral health practice. This is where the clinical work in this role happens, and where supervised hours toward LCSW licensure accrue.
Micro Healing Center (MHC) is a Colorado Social worker, and LGBTQ+-owned natural medicine healing center, License NMHC-00034. MHC is a separate entity from RRCS. It operates as a professional incubator for DORA-licensed facilitators.
The two are described separately here on purpose. The clinical role and the natural medicine pathway are related opportunities, not one blended job.
The role
This position is built for a recent MSW graduate who wants to do two things at once: accrue supervised clinical hours toward LCSW licensure, and move through Colorado's natural medicine licensure sequence starting with the Training License, NMIT.
Most people entering this field do those two things in sequence, years apart. This role is designed so they can happen alongside each other.
What you would do
On the RRCS side
- Carry a small caseload of psychotherapy clients under weekly supervision
- You set your own schedule
- Complete insurance checks, intakes, treatment planning, and documentation
- Participate in case consultation
- Support care coordination for clients navigating multiple providers
On the MHC side, contingent on your natural medicine credential status
- Observe and assist in the facilitation of natural medicine services under the supervision of a licensed natural medicine facilitator.
- Support preparation and integration meetings
- Learn the operational and documentation side of a licensed healing center, including transfer records, participant intake, and the compliance structure that sits underneath the clinical work
Scope on the MHC side depends entirely on your credential status. Practicum-level participation requires an active NMIT license. Before that, involvement is limited to what an unlicensed staff member may do inside a licensed healing center. Nothing is assigned that your credential does not permit.
Who this is for
Required
- MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and a LSW or SWC.
- Genuine interest in natural medicine and altered-states work, grounded in ethics.
- Comfort with documentation. A meaningful share of this field is recordkeeping and insurance billing
Helpful, not required
- Prior work with trauma, grief, or care providers supporting aging parents
- Familiarity with the Natural Medicine Health Act or 4 CCR 755-1
The licensure pathway, stated plainly
We would rather be accurate than encouraging, so here is how it actually works.
Toward LCSW. Clinical supervision hours accrue through RRCS under a qualified supervisor, on the standard Colorado timeline. This is ordinary supervised practice. Nothing about the natural medicine setting changes those requirements.
Toward natural medicine licensure. The sequence in Colorado runs in a fixed order, and the first credential is the Training License, NMIT.
- Complete the didactic requirement, 150 hours, through a DORA Approved Facilitator Training Program
- Apply to DORA for the Training License, NMIT
- Complete the supervised practicum, which requires an active NMIT license for the hours to count
- Complete consultation hours (option to do these hours with Dr. Baranski)
- Apply for Facilitator, or for Clinical Facilitator, NMCF, if you hold a qualifying Colorado clinical license
LSW is one of the qualifying licenses for Clinical Facilitator, alongside LCSW, LPC, MFT, LAC, and psychologist. You do not have to wait for the LCSW to be eligible for that track later on.
We will tell you what this role does and does not count toward before you accept it, in writing.
Supervision and mentorship
Clinical supervision toward LCSW is provided by a licensed supervisor at RRCS. Clinical consultation toward clinical facilitator license provided by a NMCF at MHC. You would also have working exposure to a healing center in active operation, which is not something most people entering this field get before they are licensed.
Compensation and benefits
- Pay range: $40 to $100 per hour
- Benefits: This part-time role is not health care benefits-eligible
- Supervision and consultation: provided at no cost to you
- Possibility to participate in CE workshops
Application deadline: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Micro Healing Center and Rise and Rally Clinical Services are equal opportunity employers. We are LGBTQ+-owned and we mean it as a working condition, not a marketing line.
