Reporting to the Essential Services Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring residential and commercial apartment buildings within the MICM portfolio meet their essential safety measures and fire compliance obligations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in building management, facilities coordination, concierge services, or property operations who is looking to build their expertise in compliance and essential services management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine audits and inspections of residential and commercial buildings, primarily High Rise apartment buildings
  • Assess compliance with Essential Safety Measures (ESM) and fire safety requirements
  • Prepare detailed audit reports, recommendations, and compliance assessments
  • Liaise with Owners Corporation Managers, contractors, landlords, clients, and building staff
  • Monitor maintenance activities and contractor works across the portfolio
  • Act as a point of contact for building services and maintenance enquiries
  • Maintain accurate building compliance records and documentation
  • Assist with defect monitoring and defect administration for Central Equity buildings
  • Support ongoing statutory compliance requirements across managed properties
  • Participate in ongoing training and development in Essential Services Management

About You

  • Experience in concierge, facilities, building management, property operations, or a similar environment
  • A basic understanding of Essential Safety Measures (ESM), fire compliance, and OH&S requirements
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Sound computer skills and confidence maintaining records and reports
  • A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
