Job Description:
Here at The Mick George Group we are looking for Plant Operators/ Labourers in the Northamptonshire area to join our team.
Job Overview: To operate plant and machinery to assist with the retrieval of minerals and profiling of ground to the required level.
Any other duties required in the day to day running of the quarry/landfill as deemed necessary by a site supervisor/manager.
Responsibilities: To carry out daily/weekly maintenance checks of the mobile & fixed plant in their use to the necessary standard.
To carry out the daily/weekly required maintenance tasks on the mobile & fixed plant in their use consisting of greasing and keeping the equipment clean.
To report any defects noted to site management/workshop using the R2C app.
Dispatching and controlling the quality of product To be able to follow plant GPS to alter the ground to the require levels.
To carry out any other duties relating to the Quarry as requested by a supervisor/manager.
To accurately record their working hours on timesheets and submit on a weekly basis To accurately log all production data, plant stoppages, breakdowns, and logs are documented correctly.
To inform quarry management of any materials that are deemed unsuitable for production.
To understand the company procedures in relation to breakdowns to be able to act swiftly to minimise downtime.
To ensure any training requirements are highlighted to line management especially for legislative minimum requirements.
Conduct themselves in such a way to not endanger themselves or those around them Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times as an ambassador of Mick George Group To maintain a good standard of site cleanliness to minimise potential hazards.
To regularly be in contact with site management.
