Role Purpose
To manage and optimize the collection, transportation, and processing of recyclable materials, ensuring efficient logistics operations in line with environmental regulations, cost-efficiency, and sustainability targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end logistics for the recycling transactions (skips, ro-ros, aggregate bags).
- Oversee planning and optimize routes and schedules to ensure timely collection and delivery.
- Coordinate with waste collection teams, recycling centres and third-party haulers.
- Monitor and analyse logistics performance using KPIs; recommend and implement improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental and transport regulations.
- Supervise and train logistics staff; ensure a safe working environment.
- Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and recycling operations.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to work with logistics software and data.
- Attention to detail and commitment to environmental compliance.
