MiCiM is growing and we’re looking for an experienced, proactive HSE Manager to play a key role in elevating safety standards across our projects in the UK & Europe. If you’re passionate about driving a positive safety culture, influencing senior leaders, and delivering excellence in health & safety, we’d love to hear from you.
We deliver complex construction projects with a focus on quality, collaboration, and innovation and health & safety sits at the heart of everything we do. As our HSE Manager, you’ll have the autonomy, support, and visibility to make a meaningful impact across our business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the strategic and operational development of MiCiM’s health and safety function.
- Developing, implementing, and continually improving our H&S strategy, policies, and procedures.
- Ensuring full compliance with UK H&S legislation, including CDM Regulations.
- Maintaining and supporting certification for ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
- Providing competent H&S advice to senior management, project teams, and site personnel.
- Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments — and ensuring corrective actions are seen through.
- Leading incident investigations to identify root causes and implement preventative actions.
- Managing and coordinating training programmes to ensure workforce competency and compliance.
- Overseeing RAMS, method statements, and construction phase plans.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies as a trusted HSE representative.
- Monitoring safety KPIs and producing regular performance reports.
- Championing a proactive safety culture and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- A recognised Health & Safety qualification.
- Minimum Tech IOSH membership.
- Proven H&S experience within the construction industry.
- Strong working knowledge of the CDM Regulations and their practical application.
- Demonstrable experience managing and maintaining ISO 45001 standards.
- Excellent understanding of risk management and safe systems of work.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience on large-scale or multi-site construction projects.
- Relevant training or auditing qualifications.
