We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to play a critical role in delivering a high-performance facility in Woking. You’ll work closely with our senior project leadership, clients, and contractors to ensure the successful coordination and execution of this complex data centre build.
The Role:
- Provide overarching leadership throughout all project phases, from inception to handover, ensuring alignment with client goals and project objectives.
- Own and drive the project timeline, utilising advanced project management techniques to ensure timely and on-budget delivery.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project execution plans (PEPs), encompassing all aspects of project delivery.
- Manage the project team and lead performance evaluations of all project participants.
- Mentor and develop junior team members to foster a culture of excellence.
- Identify stakeholders; establish their needs and expectations; and plan and implement strategies to meet their needs.
- Take charge of the financial health of the project by managing budgets, payment applications, and providing strategic recommendations to the Client in terms of value for money.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, representing their interests with the Professional Team and Contractors.
About you:
- You will have already managed medium to large-scale construction projects from conception through to completion.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in guiding and mentoring junior project managers and teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong contract knowledge & financial acumen.
- Degrees in Project Management, Construction Management or Engineering subjects are preferable, but we’d also like to hear from you if you are qualified by experience.
- You may already have experience in the Data Centre/Mission Critical sector, but we are also keen to speak to Project Managers in other sectors such as Energy, Oil & Gas, Offshore and Maritime.
