Are you an experienced HR professional ready to take ownership of a busy, hands‑on HR function in a fast‑growing international business? MiCiM is expanding across the UK and Europe, and we are looking for a confident HR Manager to help shape how we support, develop and engage our people as we grow.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the day‑to‑day delivery of HR, manage and develop a small HR team, and act as a trusted partner to managers across the business. You will bring structure, pace and practical HR expertise to a role that has real visibility and influence across the organisation. You will play a key part in building scalable people processes, supporting organisational change and ensuring employees have a positive, consistent experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
What you’ll be doing
Leading HR operations
- Lead the day‑to‑day HR function, ensuring managers and employees receive a responsive, professional and high‑quality service.
- Manage, coach and develop HR Administrators, creating a supportive and effective team environment.
- Build and improve HR processes that support a growing, geographically dispersed workforce.
- Act as the first point of contact for managers who need clear, practical and commercially focused HR guidance.
- Identify opportunities to make HR systems, processes and ways of working more efficient and scalable.
Supporting people and performance
- Lead on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and performance cases.
- Coach managers to handle people matters confidently, consistently and in line with best practice.
- Help resolve workplace issues fairly and effectively while reducing organisational risk.
- Support onboarding, induction, performance management, employee development, engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Champion MiCiM’s culture, values and behaviours across all locations.
Helping the business grow
- Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, organisational development and evolving project needs.
- Support the people aspects of business growth, new project mobilisation and expansion into European locations.
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure new starters are welcomed, integrated and set up for success.
- Support organisational change activity with a pragmatic, people‑focused approach.
- Use HR data, feedback and insight to spot trends and recommend improvements.
Keeping us compliant and continuously improving
- Ensure HR policies, procedures and employee documentation remain compliant, current and practical.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support GDPR, audit and governance requirements.
- Monitor employment legislation updates and translate changes into clear operational action.
- Produce HR reports and workforce insights to support informed people decisions across the business.
- Drive improvements that enhance efficiency, employee experience and overall HR effectiveness.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is confident operating at HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor level and who enjoys combining operational delivery with continuous improvement. You will be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities and building trusted relationships with stakeholders across a growing business.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or above.
- Strong employee relations experience and excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Experience managing HR operations in a growing organisation.
- Experience managing, mentoring or developing HR team members.
- Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
