About MiChild at Sunbeams Nursery
Sunbeams Nursery is a warm and welcoming nursery in Atherton. We are proud to be rated “Good” by Ofsted and care for up to 68 children as part of the MiChild family. Our nursery has been newly refurbished within the last year. We have three bright play spaces for children aged 0–2, 2–3 and 3–4 years. We also have a sensory exploration room where children can explore, relax and learn in a calm environment. We have two lovely outdoor garden areas at the back of the nursery. One garden opens directly from the baby room. Our outdoor spaces are used daily for activities such as outdoor yoga, games and imaginative play.
At Sunbeams, we value teamwork and reflective practice. We support each other to learn, grow and develop our skills. As part of MiChild, staff wellbeing and appreciation are important to us, and we enjoy recognising and celebrating our team. We are conveniently located on Bolton Old Road, just a five-minute walk from the local high street with shops and places to eat. What we are looking for:
- A Level 2 Early Years or a Level 3 Early Years qualified practitioner, passionate and enthusiastic about the care and development of children
- A proactive approach, adaptable and flexible, able to meet the needs of day to day lunch time cover
- Commitment to promoting a fun, high quality environment for all children in our care
- Ability to prioritise the safeguarding of all children, staff and families that have access to the setting
- To ensure that mealtime is a pleasant social sharing experience
- To fully understand and promote the company’s ethos and core values
- Early Years (EYFS) qualification desirable or some knowledge of EYFS
This role is 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday based on working 3 hours per shift.
