Position: Nursery Cook / 8.30am to 4pm or 4.30pm

About MiChild at Meadow Nursery

Meadow Nursery is a vibrant, nurturing setting based on the outskirts of Blackpool town centre on Whitegate drive. With excellent public transport links and free onsite parking, we’re easy to get to whether you drive or take public transport. Our setting includes four well-equipped rooms, each tailored to a specific age group and led by a team trained specifically for that developmental stage. We support our team to feel confident within the age group they work with and support training needs. We also have spacious outdoor garden spaces that are thoughtfully separated to suit different age groups, ensuring safe and enriching outdoor play for all. Our building has a total of 3 garden spaces.

We’re especially proud of our dedicated preschool room, where children prepare for their school transition together in a supportive, structured environment. Our focus on teamwork and quality care makes us a trusted choice for families — and a fantastic place to work. Each year we are invited to the MiChild awards evening held by our actively involved CEO and COO. At our recent awards night, team meadow were celebrated as winners of ‘Team of the year’. A testament to the dedication, passion and teamwork that drives everything we do and that you can be part of.

Our local area is great for anyone new to the area or living nearby, we are situated next to Whitegate drive health centre and very centrally located on the outskirts of Blackpool town centre. All local shops are in walking distance and easily accessible to drive to. We have a local subway, Greggs and Tesco within a short distance.

What We’re Looking For:

  • An experienced nursery cook with a solid understanding of nutritional, dietary, allergy and cultural needs of children
  • Skilled at setting high standards of hygiene, appropriate food storage and food preparation knowledge, health & safety within the kitchen
  • Food preparation and serving to be executed at specific times
  • Manage all supplies and kitchen equipment
