About MiChild at Newhouse Nursery Newhouse Nursery, proudly rated as 'Good' by Ofsted, has a capacity of 48 children and has been part of the MiChild Family since 2020. We value ourselves on being a home‐from‐home setting. We have recently had a refurbishment across the nursery and we are proud of our expansive garden area, accessible from all rooms. This outdoor space is unique to Newhouse Nursery as it offers our children and staff countless opportunities for engaging in outdoor learning activities, allowing us to immerse ourselves in imaginative play.

We are conveniently situated close to Baines Primary School and St George's High School. For those using public transport, we are on multiple bus routes, with one route dropping you off within a 2‐minute walk of the nursery. During breaks, you may want to take a walk. Within a short distance, you can easily access some local corner shops, and we are also situated close to supermarkets such as Asda and Aldi, as well as food outlets on Vicarage Lane including McDonald's, KFC, Greg's Bakery and Subway.

What We're Looking For

  • Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (UK recognised)
  • Has a strong understanding of the EYFS and child development
  • Demonstrates robust safeguarding knowledge and awareness

Note: this role is a full‐time role, 40 hours per week.

Shift Patterns

  • Early Shift: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Middle Shift: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Late Shift: 8:30 am – 6:00 pm
