In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the nursery are clean and tidy, reporting any potential maintenance issues to the Maintenance team. Your duties include:

  • Cleaning all areas of the day nursery, including toilets, kitchen, playrooms, and staff areas.
  • Cleaning all surfaces of the day nursery, including floors, paintwork, tiles, and walls.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues that prevent safe and efficient cleaning of these areas.
  • Removing all bottles and recyclable materials to the relevant bin and ensuring anything recyclable is recycled.
  • Ensuring that shortages do not prevent cleaning.
  • Completing all high- and low-level dusting.

You must be committed to the safeguarding of all children.

About Echoes Day Nursery: Echoes Day Nursery, proudly rated 'Good' by Ofsted, has a capacity of 85 children and has been part of the MiChild family since 2020. Situated in the heart of Manchester City Centre, we serve a diverse variety of families with dedication and warmth. Our nursery boasts 5 spacious playrooms with a calm and nurturing feel and a large enclosed outdoor area that enables our children and staff to explore the outdoors despite being in a city-centre location. At Echoes, we are proud to celebrate the diversity present in our staff body and families and have recently been recognised by Manchester City Council for 'Advancing Race and Equality in Early Years'.

Transport & Parking: 8-minute walk from Piccadilly Station/Metrolink. During breaks, you may want to take a walk; the Vimto Park is conveniently located within 2 minutes of the nursery. Within a short distance, you can easily access a variety of shops and eateries, including SPAR and Starbucks.
