Mid Michigan Leadership Academy is currently hiring a MTSS / Testing Coordinator. Must have a teacher certification. Mid Michigan Leadership Academy is a K-8 charter school located in Lansing, Michigan. The MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports)/Testing Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the MTSS framework and coordinating all student assessments. This role involves supporting academic and behavioral interventions, collecting and analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with testing requirements and reporting. The coordinator will work closely with teachers, administrators, students, and parents to promote a positive and effective learning environment.

  • MTSS Implementation: Develop and manage the MTSS framework, including academic and behavioral interventions. Collaborate with teachers to design and implement Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 interventions. Monitor the progress of students receiving interventions and adjust plans as needed. Provide professional development and training to staff on MTSS practices and strategies. Facilitate MTSS meetings and maintain accurate documentation of intervention plans and student progress.
  • Testing Coordination: Plan and coordinate all standardized testing (e.g., state assessments, benchmark assessments) and other school-wide assessments. Ensure compliance with all testing regulations and guidelines. Prepare and distribute testing schedules, materials, and instructions to staff and students. Train staff on proper test administration procedures and protocols. Analyze and interpret test data to inform instructional practices and interventions. Report testing results to stakeholders, including staff, administration, and parents.
  • Data Management and Analysis: Collect, manage, and analyze student performance data to identify trends and areas of need. Use data to inform decision-making and improve instructional practices. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and interventions. Provide regular reports and updates to administration on the effectiveness of interventions and testing outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff to support student success. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and intervention plans. Participate in professional learning communities and other collaborative teams. Foster a positive school culture that supports academic and behavioral growth.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Valid teaching certification in the state of Michigan. Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a K-8 setting. Experience with MTSS implementation and coordination. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and requirements. Strong data analysis skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders.

Working Conditions: Full-time position with standard school hours. Work is primarily performed in a school setting with students, teachers, and administrators.
