Qualifications

  • Must meet all Michigan criteria to be Highly Qualified teaching in the State of Michigan.
  • Have a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with 6‑12 Grade Level Certificate with an LX or LQ and NP, NR or ND endorsement preferred.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and expertise in working with upper Middle and High School Grades.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse group of students.
  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience in the Middle and High School Grades is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn from and collaborate with other professional educators to gain insight into a variety of teaching methodologies in working with a diverse student body.
  • Commitment to participating in ongoing professional development in chosen subjects and content areas.
  • Willing to serve on Building and District committees.
  • Must be able to read, understand and interpret standardized test scores, or be willing to be in‑serviced in the same.
