Charyl Stockwell Academy is hiring Elementary Teachers for the upcoming 26/27 school year to join an outstanding, hardworking team at the Hartland campus. Must have a teacher certification and endorsement.

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to student development and a desire to foster a love for learning in young children.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Develop assessments and monitor student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives.
  • Participate in school activities, meetings, and events.
  • Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students.
  • Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and staff.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Cognitive Demands

  • Supervision of multiple students at once.
  • Establishing routines and procedures.
  • Maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
  • Create and implement instructional plans.
  • Participate in continuous professional development.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Physical Demands

  • Occasionally lift/move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Stand and walk frequently.

  • Withstand a moderate noise level.
  • Be able to perform first aid/CPR if necessary.
  • Assist/lift students, as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan with an endorsement in the grade level.
  • Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.
