We’re a multi-award-winning contract catering company with a team of trained foodies serving over 45,500 satisfied customers every day. We now have an exciting opportunity for an Events Manager to join our team. From high profile events and functions to corporate meetings, you’ll ensure every customer experience is a positive one.
You will be required to:
- Provide a visible and accessible presence for the co-ordination of all elements concerned with function management
- Meet with hosts and ensure all information necessary to plan and coordinate the event effectively is gathered
- Establish good working relationships with internal teams and clients regularly involved in the organisation
- Liaise effectively with all individuals and teams to ensure that all function requirements are authorised and delivered
- Organise and chair the monthly event planning meetings, as well as weekly FOH meetings
- Run and manage daytime and evening private dining rooms and events
- Hold staff briefings before every event
- Assist with the costing and invoicing of functions, ordering equipment, stock (wine and food) and booking additional support via agency
- Stock control and stock taking
- Answer daily emails and update daily worksheets for the office, FOH team and chefs
- Complete accounts after event in a timely and accurate manner
Ideally, you will have good planning and organisational skills, as well as management skills appropriate to the level of responsibility. Experience in a high quality, demanding, customer-focused/service environment, such as a 5* hotel would be advantageous, and a good understanding of Health and Safety issues as they pertain to function management is essential. You will hold an “A” Level or equivalent and be expected to read our company manuals to obtain a thorough understanding and knowledge of our products and services.
