We are currently seeking a Chef de Partie who is eager to advance their career at DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Airport. This is a full time 40 hours per week position.
About the role:
- As a Chef de Partie, you are responsible for ensuring high levels of food preparation, quality, and consistency to deliver an excellent guest experience.
- To be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach.
- To be responsible for the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring that quality standards are delivered.
All applicants must be flexible - Shifts are inclusive of weekends & Bank Holidays.
Responsibilities:
- To have a thorough knowledge of and prepare all dishes on hotel menus ensuring smooth and efficient service throughout.
- Enjoys a busy service and can confidently work well under pressure.
- To ensure mise-en-place is carried out in your allocated area of work to meet forecasted demand.
- To ensure all foods are stored correctly and stocks rotated in line with Food Hygiene requirements.
- To keep food wastage to a minimum through stock rotation and ensuring portion controls are adhered to.
- To ensure the efficient operation of the kitchen during service, ensuring food is prepared and served to the standards required.
- To record temperature checks on food and in storage areas as directed to ensure statutory requirements are met and report any variances immediately.
- To maintain high standards of working practices in terms of personal appearance and working methods.
- To assist with various cleaning duties as required.
About you:

Experience:
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Skills:
- Strong cooking skills and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Attention to detail in plating and presentation of dishes.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent time management skills.
