We are recruiting for a Full time 40 hour Chef de Partie to join the Kitchen Team at Holiday Inn Bolton Centre.
About the role: As a Chef de Partie, you are responsible for ensuring high levels of food preparation, quality, and consistency to deliver an excellent guest experience. You must be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach. You will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring that quality standards are delivered. All applicants must be flexible - shifts are inclusive of weekends and Bank Holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Have a thorough knowledge of and prepare all dishes on hotel menus ensuring smooth and efficient service throughout.
- Enjoy a busy kitchen/breakfast service and can confidently work well under pressure.
- Ensure all foods are stored correctly and stocks rotated in line with Food Hygiene requirements.
- Keep food wastage to a minimum through stock rotation and ensuring portion controls are adhered to.
- Ensure the efficient operation of the kitchen during service, ensuring food is prepared and served to the standards required.
- Record temperature checks on food and in storage areas as directed to ensure statutory requirements are met and report any variances immediately.
- Maintain high standards of working practices in terms of personal appearance and working methods.
- Assist with various cleaning duties as required.
About you: We are looking for a passionate, hardworking and focused individual that thrives in a high-pressured environment and is looking to grow and learn. The ideal Chef de Partie will have experience in a similar role and prepping in a good quality kitchen. A professional, organised and competent Chef de Partie who is a team player and communicates well with all colleagues. You should have a positive, can-do attitude, excellent communication skills and be trustworthy. You must be passionate about the hospitality industry and have great customer service skills. All applicants must be flexible on the working days (5 out of 7 day rota).
