Our Newly Qualified (NQ) training programme supports colleagues transitioning to the role of Associate, covering career development, financial training and facilitating collaboration across the NQ group.

What sort of work?

Right now, our highly regarded Real Estate group is looking for a newly qualified Associate to join our Transactional Real Estate (TRE) team. The role will support the TRE team in delivering first-class service to clients and will provide a varied workload, including:

• Residential development work acting for a wide range of developers and landowners, including setting up sites for disposal of dwellings and sale of affordable housing
• Strategic land work acting for promoters and landowners including promotion agreements and options, linked with our private wealth practice
• Landlord and tenant and commercial real estate and development work for corporates, public authorities, trusts, charities and landowners, including infrastructure and sustainable development projects
• Energy work across various technologies and BESS, servicing leading energy company clients

The role will encompass a range of work within these areas depending on your enthusiasm and experience.

We have a market-leading profile in residential development, strategic land, sustainable economy and energy, and commercial real estate work. The team is collaborative and creative, serving City, national and south-west clients across Exeter, Bristol, London and Cheltenham.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who understands our values and thrives in our culture. The role will be based in Exeter, Cheltenham or Bristol. The ideal candidate will have:

• Undertaken a trainee seat in commercial real estate practice
• High levels of client service (internal and external)
• Genuine interest in promoting business development opportunities

Other required skills include:

• Commercial, creative, can-do approach with the ability to provide clients with solutions
• Ability to quickly understand a client\’s business
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Enthusiastic, friendly team player with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines with flexibility and proactivity
• Discretion and confidentiality in handling information
• Strong work ethic and commitment to ongoing learning and development
