What sort of work?
Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join our Family team in Bristol. The role will involve working closely alongside partners and other senior team members, representing a variety of high profile, high net worth and international clients in cutting-edge family law matters, from nuptial agreements and wealth protection, to tricky contested financial remedy proceedings, cohabitation cases, complex children law matters and domestic abuse injunctions.

Our work is exciting, challenging and often at the forefront of developments in family law in the South West, nationally and internationally.
We regularly advise international high net worth, ultraâhigh net worth and highâprofile individuals around the world, entrepreneurs, professionals and their family members, in some of the most complex family law cases in the UK. We are known for specialising in tricky international cases, and cases that are particularly financially and emotionally complex.
We support individuals and their family members at all stages of life, with a particular focus on wealth protection, not only in connection with divorce or separation but also at other key life stages, including cohabitation, birth of children and marriage.
Our lawyers are all members of Resolution, the family law membership organisation committed to resolving family matters in a coâoperative way. The team is recognised by industry professionals and is highly rated in Chambers High Net Worth Guide, Chambers UK, Legal 500 and Spears.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for somebody who will understand our values and thrive in our culture. The role will be based at our Bristol office and the ideal candidate will have:
- 1â5 PQE in family law (experience with HNW/UNHW clients, complex financial remedy proceedings and complex children cases desired)
- An enthusiasm to master business development and marketing in tandem with legal expertise
- Strong interpersonal skills, building rapport with colleagues and clients at all levels
- A proâactive, professional, and collaborative approach to work with a willingness to support partners in other teams and offices
- Excellent organisational skills, with demonstrable examples of multiâtasking, managing competing priorities and use of initiative to work towards objectives or career goals
- The ability to communicate well under pressure and be a positive role model
