This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded Employee Relations professional who enjoys solving complex people challenges. You'll partner with leaders across the Firm to find practical solutions to difficult situations, balancing legal risk, commercial priorities and the employee experience.The role is based in Bristol or Exeter, with occasional travel to our other offices.Why Michelmores? Our success is built on the strength of our people, the quality of our relationships, and our willingness to think differently.We are a flexible, inclusive and collaborative firm where people are trusted to make an impact.As the business continues to evolve, our HR team plays a critical role in supporting growth, developing capability and helping leaders make good people decisions.Overview of the roleAs the Employee Relations Specialist you will provide expert advice and support on employee relations matters across the Firm and will work closely with HR Business Partners and Advisors to lead on complex cases and investigations, develop policy, and support compliance with employment law.Day-to-dayYou will be the Firm's subject matter expert on employee relations, providing trusted advice on complex and sensitive matters. We will want you to:Lead a wide range of employee relations cases from initial assessment through to resolution, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, workplace conduct and flexible working matters.Provide commercially focused and legally sound advice to leaders, helping them manage risk while reaching fair and consistent outcomes.Conduct and oversee investigations into complex employee matters.Partner with HR Business Partners and Advisors to share expertise, build capability and strengthen manager confidence.Develop and refine policies, guidance and processes, ensuring they remain practical, compliant and fit for purpose.Monitor employee relations trends and data, identifying opportunities to improve processes, mitigate risk and enhance the employee experience.Keep pace with employment law developments, translating them into clear and actionable guidance for the business.Our HR teamYou'll be part of a collaborative HR team that partners with leaders across the Firm on a wide range of people matters.
