Our highly rated Property Litigation team is seeking a Solicitor or Associate to join our Specialist Real Estate offering. The role may be based from any of our Bristol, Cheltenham or Exeter offices and will support the team in delivering a first‑class service to clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on a complete spectrum of real‑property related matters such as business lease renewal, short residential tenancies, residential long leases, enfranchisement, rent recovery, service charges, dilapidations, telecommunications, forfeiture and possession claims, adverse possession, easements, restrictive covenants, land registration, options, sale and purchase contracts, and other related subject areas.
- Representing clients in court action, the Property Tribunals, arbitrations, expert determinations and mediations.
While experience in every area is not essential, we provide strong training and supervision. Our team works cross‑office across the South West, handling international, national and high‑profile regional contentious property work. We collaborate closely with our Transactional Real Estate team and other teams across the firm. Excellent training and career progression opportunities are available in an inclusive environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience at a top City, National or Regional commercial practice and excellent academics.
- 3–5 PQE in contentious property including commercial and residential.
- An enthusiasm to master business development and marketing alongside legal expertise.
- Strong interpersonal skills, building rapport with colleagues and clients at all levels.
- A proactive, professional, and collaborative approach, supporting partners in other teams and offices.
- The desire to train and coach junior members and delegate effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills, demonstrated multi‑tasking, managing competing priorities and initiative to achieve objectives or career goals.
- Ability to communicate well under pressure and act as a positive role model.
