Michelmersh Brick Holdings are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team as a Payroll and HR Administrator.
The successful applicant will work in our Payroll/HR department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for weekly paid employees, maintaining compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies.
The successful applicant will also act as a key point of contact for payroll-related queries and contribute to the smooth operation of the payroll function, assisting the Pay & Benefits Manager in completing reconciliations and reports.
As this is a dual role, the successful applicant will further assist the HR department with uploading and maintaining employee records on the HR system and help with general HR administration.
No experience is required as full training will be given.
The successful applicant will undertake an employer funded L3 Payroll Administrator qualification in their working time, and as such is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to move into a Payroll career.
Training in entry level HR will also be provided.
- Job specification
- Process company's payroll every pay period by gathering, calculating and inputting data
- Resolve payroll queries from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner
- Assist in payroll reconciliations and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and comply with relevant law
- Ensure confidentiality of employees' pay records at all times
- Maintain payroll systems and spreadsheets; ensure data integrity and confidentiality
- Support pension scheme administration and auto-enrolment processes
- Ensure accurate input of employee data including new starters, leavers, and changes to the HR information system
- Assist HR with general administration in department including contracts, offer letters and new starter documentation
- Provide HR administration support if required to managers within the Group (further training will be provided)
- Previous experience & Qualifications
- No previous experience is required, however any experience or knowledge of payroll, accounts or general office administration would be an advantage to the successful applicant.
- A desire to study for an complete a work based qualification is essential.
