An East Midlands recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Training Recruitment Manager to join the senior leadership team based in Leicestershire. This is a new role giving you the opportunity to shape the development of recruitment and back office staff at all levels, from trainee recruiters through to senior consultants and recruitment managers.
The Role:
You will be responsible for creating, delivering, and enhancing training programs across the recruitment business, combining formal classroom-style learning with hands-on desk mentoring and coaching. You will work closely with recruiters at all levels, personally mentoring each individual, including joining them on their recruitment desk, sales, client visits, candidate management, and nurturing relationships. Your focus will include:
- Sales skills – developing recruiters’ ability to generate new business, manage client relationships, and consistently hit targets.
- Recruitment expertise – mentoring trainee recruiters and experienced consultants in sourcing, candidate engagement, and placement strategies.
- Leadership development – coaching managers to lead high-performing team members and achieve measurable results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement structured training programs tailored to all levels of the recruitment team.
- Deliver engaging recruitment and sales workshops, classroom sessions, and one-to-one coaching.
- Provide hands-on mentorship, joining recruiters on candidate and client visits to develop practical skills.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend learning interventions to enhance performance.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using measurable KPIs.
- Partner with other senior management to align training strategy with business objectives.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and innovative sales/recruitment practices.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in recruitment and/or sales within an agency environment (essential).
- Strong track record of recruitment and management as you will be delivering both classroom-style and hands-on training/coaching programs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop individuals at all levels.
- Experience mentoring managers and senior consultants is highly desirable.
- Would suit a manager or proven recruiter with the ability to move away from a billing role into a training role.
- Training and development across professional and generalist sectors, temporary recruitment and permanent recruitment across the Midlands area in the UK.
