This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Diss, South Norfolk, with a salary of up to £30k depending on level of experience, alongside the option of hybrid working arrangements. The office is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from Diss train station, with ample free parking available on-site.
This pivotal role offers the chance to join a growing and forward-thinking underwriting business. You will take ownership of your own portfolio of third-party motor claims, handling cases up to a value of £50,000 drawing on your credit hire expertise and technical knowledge to deliver high-quality service. Additionally, you will act as a central point of reference for team members and support the Team Leader in work allocation and day-to-day oversight.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all aspects of third-party motor claims up to £50,000.
- Independently handle and negotiate complex liability disputes, including litigated cases.
- Act as a technical referral point for colleagues, providing guidance and mentoring support.
- Assist the Team Leader with distribution of workload and ensure continuity of service.
- Liaise effectively with internal departments and external partners at all levels.
- Communicate liability decisions clearly and negotiate settlements within your authority.
- Assess claim quantum by gathering relevant documentation and evidence.
- Maintain accurate reserves and ensure timely claim closures using the internal diary system.
