Surface Mount Team Leader (Electronics Manufacturing) — Diss, Norfolk — £30,000 - £34,000
The role
Working closely with the Production Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the Surface Mount department. While remaining hands-on, you'll also plan workloads, support colleagues and help improve processes.
Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting a small Surface Mount team
- Allocating workloads and coordinating daily priorities
- Supporting production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines
- Identifying training needs and building team capability
- Working across departments to ensure smooth workflow
- Supporting equipment maintenance and operational efficiency
- Monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement
- Maintaining a safe and positive working environment
About you
We're looking for someone with experience within electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly or Surface Mount environments. You may already be a Team Leader or Supervisor, or perhaps an experienced technician looking for your next step. Experience of Surface Mount processes, pick and place equipment, screen printers, AOI systems, reflow ovens or similar manufacturing technologies would be highly beneficial. Just as important is your ability to lead by example, support colleagues and take ownership of your area.
