Part Time Bookkeeper — 20 hours per week, on site — £31,000–£34,000 pro rata. Michelle Denny Recruitment is working with Diss Golf Club to appoint a Part Time Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day financial and administrative activities of the Club. This is a varied role that combines bookkeeping responsibilities with office administration and membership support. Working alongside the General Manager and office team, you will help ensure the smooth running of the Club’s finances and wider office operations. The position is offered on a 20 hour per week basis, ideally worked between 9:30am and 2:30pm, Tuesday to Friday, although some flexibility may be considered for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining financial records using Xero
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Recording income from memberships, visitors, competitions, societies and events
- Supporting membership subscriptions and renewals
- Carrying out bank reconciliations
- Assisting with monthly accounts information
- Maintaining stock and asset records where required
- Responding to member enquiries
- General office administration and record keeping
About You
- Previous bookkeeping or accounts experience
- Confidence using Xero or similar accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload
- Comfortable dealing with members, suppliers and colleagues
- A proactive and practical approach
- Happy to work on site, as this is not a hybrid role
Experience within a golf club, membership organisation, hospitality or leisure environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
