Michelle Denny Recruitment Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a well-established local business based in Diss in their search for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join their friendly and dynamic team on a part-time basis. This varied role is ideal for someone who enjoys being at the heart of office operations and has a good head for numbers, organisation, and communication.

Part-Time (3 Days per Week)

Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm (Tues-Thu), 9:00am - 4:00pm (Fri), 1-hour lunch break

Salary: £30,000-£32,000 pro rata, depending on level of experience.

General Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Answering and directing telephone calls
  • Booking and managing conference/meeting room schedules
  • Assisting with general office admin and pitching in on ad hoc tasks as needed
  • Opening and managing trade accounts
  • Managing documentation including obtaining and storing public liability insurance certificates from suppliers and customers
  • Coordinating fixed wire testing to ensure compliance with insurance requirements.
  • Using tenancy management software to assist with lease and tenant record management (training provided)
  • Supporting with tenancy lease expiry tracking and scheduling

Accounts & Finance Responsibilities:

  • Raising invoices for:
    • Property rentals
    • Room hire
    • Insurance
    • Service charges
    • Utilities
    • Other ad hoc charges
  • Processing supplier payments
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Chasing outstanding debts
  • Responding to and managing account queries
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly tenant schedules
  • Performing bank reconciliations using Xero accounting software
  • Obtaining and processing purchase invoices

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar administrative or finance support role
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Comfortable with numbers and financial processes
  • Good working knowledge of Xero or similar accounting software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Friendly, professional, and team-oriented approach
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes (training provided)
