Michelle Denny Recruitment is working with a long standing law firm in Diss to find someone to join its Private Client team. There's flexibility around the level of appointment, so we're interested in hearing from established Private Client professionals as well as those earlier in their career who have good practical experience and are ready to develop further. You'll be joining a firm with low staff turnover, where many people have built lengthy careers and where building trusted relationships with clients remains an important part of the work. What you'll be doing: Depending on your experience, you'll manage or assist with a varied Private Client caseload, including: Wills and will drafting Probate Estate administration Lasting Powers of Attorney Advising clients across a range of Private Client matters Managing or assisting with files from initial instruction through to conclusion Meeting clients and developing long term relationships Liaising with executors, beneficiaries and other professional advisers Preparing legal documentation and correspondence Managing deadlines and maintaining accurate matter records If you're already experienced in Private Client work, there is scope to manage your own caseload and bring your knowledge to the wider team. If you're earlier in your career, the opportunity is there to broaden your experience and take on greater responsibility as you develop. What we're looking for: You will need practical experience within Private Client law, but there isn't one fixed level we're looking for. You might be: An experienced Private Client Solicitor looking for a new local opportunity A Chartered Legal Executive with relevant Private Client experience A Solicitor earlier in your post qualification career An experienced Private Client professional progressing towards qualification What's important is that you already have a good grounding in areas such as wills, probate and estate administration and are comfortable dealing directly with clients. The personal side of the role matters too. Private Client work often means helping people through important, complicated or difficult periods in their lives, so you'll need to communicate clearly, listen well and be able to build trust.
