Michelle Denny Recruitment Consultancy is pleased to be partnering with a leading, specialist claims organisation in their search for an experienced Complex Claims Handler with a strong background in Personal Injury. This is a standout opportunity for professionals with proven experience managing high-value motor PI claims, including cases valued at £100,000 and above. Salary up to £50,000 depending on level of experience, option of hybrid working.
Based in Diss, South Norfolk, the business offers a hybrid working option, (3 days in the office and 2 days WFH) combining office presence with the flexibility to work from home part of the week.
The Role
As a Complex Claims Handler, you will take ownership of a caseload of high-value, technically challenging motor personal injury claims, seeing them through from first notification to resolution. Your role will involve in-depth investigation, liability assessments, and settlement negotiation, all delivered with a high level of technical competence and customer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle your own caseload of complex personal injury motor claims, including those exceeding £100,000 in value.
- Investigate liability thoroughly and assess quantum using medical reports and supporting evidence.
- Negotiate and settle claims directly with solicitors, insurers, and third parties.
- Identify and manage any indications of fraud or exaggerated claims.
- Work collaboratively with legal and medical experts to bring claims to fair resolution.
- Maintain accurate records, reserves, and follow internal processes efficiently.
- Keep up to date with personal injury case law, legislative updates, and best practice guidelines.
