They’re now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager into a newly created role supporting sustainable, long-term growth.

About the role

This position will suit someone who enjoys building relationships, understands consultative selling, and is comfortable working within a manufacturing and product-led environment. The sales process here is thoughtful rather than high-volume. Customers value expertise, trust and continuity.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing business across new and existing accounts
  • Building and managing a structured sales pipeline
  • Identifying considered growth opportunities
  • Representing the business at relevant exhibitions and events
  • Working closely with internal sales, marketing and operational teams

What’s important:

  • Experience in business development or key account management
  • Background within manufacturing, technical, engineering or product-based sectors
  • Comfortable managing longer sales cycles
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Natural relationship-builder
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel when required

This role is unlikely to suit candidates from fast-paced, high-volume or heavily transactional sales environments.

What’s on offer:

  • £40,000 salary (negotiable depending on experience)
  • Incentives linked to performance
  • Hybrid working once established
  • A role with autonomy and scope to shape growth
