Do you enjoy driving for work, but want the chance to learn a skilled trade? We’re looking for a practical, reliable and customer-focused person to train as a Trainee Mobile Industrial Tyre Technician. You do not need tyre fitting experience. If you’re used to travelling as part of your job, meeting customers and working independently, we’ll give you the training, support and tools to build a long-term career in the tyre fitting industry.
This is a hands-on, mobile role where you’ll visit customer sites across the Newcastle Upon Tyne area, fitting and servicing industrial tyres at planned appointments. There’s no roadside work and no weekend work.
What you’ll be doing:
- Travelling to customer sites in your company van
- Learning how to fit and service industrial tyres safely
- Handling wheels, tools and equipment as part of the role
- Using a tablet to update job details
- Representing Michelin in a professional and friendly way
- Working as part of a supportive team while managing your own day
Must have:
- Full UK driving licence held for a min of 2 years
- Used to travelling as part of your job
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Approachable, reliable and a team player
- Experience of manual handling
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willingness to learn a new trade
- Right to Work in the UK
