Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. is proud to celebrate over 54 years of manufacturing excellence in Nova Scotia, employing more than 4000 individuals across our three facilities. We are currently seeking Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians to join our team in Granton, NS.
Position Summary
To ensure maintenance of motorized vehicles, forklifts, equipment and accessories of lifting and handling, and eventually technical coordination.
KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
- Application of safety rules during interventions.
- Secure / condemn any device or material immediately upon detection of anomalies inducing risks.
- Maintenance plans, inspection and regulatory tests on equipment are respected.
- Maintenance books, regulatory records, and technical dossiers updates and available.
- Availability of lifting and handling equipment (troubleshooting and preventive adapted to the service rate expected).
- Optimized Cost (supplies and materials used, energy consumption, ...).
- Participation in the development of plans for the durability of equipment, appliances, and battery charging rooms.
- Experience in a high traffic repair shop.
- Comfortable with tight deadlines.
- Familiar with Planning and Scheduling functions.
- Familiar with Purchasing and Inventory Control would be considered an asset.
