Job Summary
Commercial Tyre Technician – East Midlands.
Works Monday‑Friday, 37.5 hours per week with one night shift per week and flexible start times for the other four days.
Starting salary is £28,500 plus up to 11% bonus and a company van.
Location
Busy bus garages across the East Midlands (Nottingham/Derby area preferred).
Schedule
Monday‑Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
One night shift per week with start times between 12am and 2am when vehicles return to the depot.
The remaining four days offer greater flexibility around start and finish times, to be discussed during the interview.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a commercial tyre fitter, managing your own bus garages in and around the East Midlands.
- Fit, inspect and maintain bus tyres on site at customer garages.
- Lift, move and manoeuvre heavy tyres as part of day‑to‑day duties.
- Process job sheets in the internal system.
- Manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Carry out fleet inspections once a week, typically beginning between 12am and 2am when vehicles return to the depot.
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of two years.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Basic IT skills.
- Willingness to work flexibly.
- Ideal candidates live in the Nottingham/Derby area.
- No prior tyre‑fitting experience required – full training will be provided.
