THE ROLE IN SHORT:
As a network engineer for MCF Europe you will support and manage the company's network infrastructure which underpins our 365/24/7 SaaS offering for our customers throughout the world. You will be involved in general maintenance for all on-premise Cisco related infrastructure (Routers/Switches) including data centre support, along with having a constant focus on security managing firewall operations.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING:
- Supporting and maintaining on premise Cisco infrastructure
- Deployment and Support of Cloud IaaS (Azure/AWS)
- Contributing towards BAU activities and tickets
- Supporting and managing firewall updates, rules, and patching
- Contributing towards Data Centre Operations and Support
- Focus on security and MFA support
- Supporting Load Balancer Technologies
- Producing Quality Documentation
- Contributing towards on-call rota and any out of hours responsibilities
- Focusing on new solutions and any innovation which improves current design
- Be part of the community, join cross-functional project teams, attend conferences, and meetups
- Continually looking to develop own skill set
TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL LIKELY HAVE:
- Extensive operational knowledge of Cisco routers and switches
- Experience with Cisco IOS configuration
- Operational knowledge and management of Cisco ASA Firewalls
- Experience with Cloud Networking (Azure/AWS)
- VMWARE networking experience
- Excellent work prioritisation and ability to deliver under pressure while multi-tasking
- Self-motivated with excellent team-working and cross-team collaboration
- Enthusiastic about self-improvement and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Attention to detail and planning
