Micheldever Tyre Services is looking for an analytical and methodical Junior Financial Accountant for a 12 months fixed term contract. Ideally you will have embarked on your AAT qualification, looking for an entry-level position. You will be responsible for diligent completion of reconciliations, account reviews and ad-hoc projects, to ensure the delivery of accurate information and completion of necessary monthly, quarterly and annual procedures.
The Junior Financial Accountant will support the team in carrying out the day-to-day tasks associated with our improved processes, supporting the Financial Accounting team in the completion of project work and liaising with their peers across the department to drive efficiencies.
Employment Type: 12 months Fixed Term Contract
Hybrid: 1-2 days in the office, 2-3 days working from home. Period ends will need more days in the office

About our role:
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
- Accounting administration of expenses system
- Ad-hoc support of payment administration
- Calculation of rebates payable accrual
- Support the quarterly and yearly Audit process and responding to Audit requests
- Draft statutory returns for HMRC and other regulatory bodies
- Prepare and submit ONS, EC Sales and Intrastat reporting within required deadlines
- Ensuring all journals are authorised before posting to the nominal
- Posting journals ensuring all entries are processed through the GL to produce accurate accounting information
- Complete detailed tasks as directed by the Senior Financial Accountant
- Month end review and correction of such GL lines as are delegated by the Senior Accountant
