Micheldever Tyres Services is looking for a reliable 7.5 tonne driver to join our team. This is a multi-functional flexible role, covering all classes of vehicles up to 7.5T with a potential to have a regular route with mostly regular business customers. Supporting the warehouse operation with loading and unloading of vehicles as required, collecting Bulk Deliveries from receiving Ports and Customer Returns to Distribution Centres with occasional monetary collections from Customers (including cash accounts). You should be aware that this role will involve manual handling and heavy lifting as there is a requirement to load and unload vehicles.

Must have: A full UK driving licence (Category B), held for at least 6 months (age restrictions may apply β points or offences may affect your application)
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 05.00am to 1.30pm, 1 in 6 Saturdays

About the role:
- Your primary duties will include delivering tyres and associated products to our customer base across our region usually via AM and PM runs.
- As well as driving 7.5T vehicles you may from time to time drive 3.5T vans.
- On average, you will make 20 - 30 deliveries a day, depending on the area.
- Adhere to operational procedures and safe systems of work to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of product to our internal and external customers.
- Assist to maintain the vehicle in a roadworthy manner, through Company Practices and Procedures.
- Ensure legal compliance is maintained and that the work is carried out in line with Company policies and procedures.
- Ensure documentation is correct to vehicle & load prior to vehicle release from site.
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and on-time.
About you:
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Experience of 7.5T delivery
- The ability to act on your own initiative and take responsibility for the quality of your work
- Excellent work ethic and customer service skills.
- A full UK driving licence (Category B)
- A digital tachograph card, Driver Qualification card (Company covers re-qualification whilst in employ)
- Driver CPC (preferred)
