Van Driver 3.5 tonne

Micheldever Tyres Services are looking for a multi drop Driver to join our team. We seek a reliable, enthusiastic individual with excellent work ethic and customer service skills. This role involves working in the Warehouse in the morning and conducting multi-drop deliveries and collections of tyres and products to and from our customer base and distribution centres within the MTS network using (up to and including) 3.5 tonne vehicles.

Key Details:

• Location: Walsall
• Must Have: A full UK driving licence (Category B)
• Hours: Monday to Friday 06:30 – 15:30, with every other Saturday morning as required

About the role:

1. Check all goods received and sent out for faults and report as necessary.
2. Maintain high accuracy during stock audits, communicating discrepancies effectively.
3. Ensure efficient and accurate movement of goods within the Warehouse.
4. Load outbound vehicles safely and properly according to instructions, company practice, and legislation.
5. Occasionally handle monetary collections from customers, including cash accounts.
6. Assist in maintaining vehicle roadworthiness and ensure legal compliance.
7. Verify documentation for vehicle and load before release from the site.
8. Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly.
9. This role involves manual handling and heavy lifting for loading and unloading vehicles.

About you:

• Experience in multi-drop delivery.
• Experience in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Understanding of workplace Health & Safety.
• Ability to work independently and ensure quality.
• Forklift Licence: Counterbalance or Reach Truck preferred but not essential.
• A full UK driving licence (Category B).
