Micheldever Tyres Services is looking for a reliable C2 Driver for the trunking of bulk deliveries throughout the logistics network as well as the loading and unloading of vehicles, supporting the warehouse operation as required. Reporting to the Transport or Site Manager, you will be responsible for adhering to operational procedures and safe systems of work to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of product to our internal and external customers.

Location: Chepstow

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 07:00-15:30, Saturday as and when required

Must have:

  • Full UK driving licence (C - Class 2) or (C+E – Class 1)
  • Tacho Licence
  • DCPC Licence

Micheldever will update your DCPC with annual training.

About the role:

  • Collection of Bulk Deliveries / Containers from receiving Ports.
  • Transportation of Containers to specified locations across the Network.
  • Some Non-UK Mainland Trunking work may be required (Ireland / IOW / Channel Isles).
  • Multi-Drop delivery of tyres to MTS Customer Base and Distribution Centres within MTS network using (up to and including) Class 1/2 vehicles as required by the business.
  • Collection of Customer Returns to Distribution Centres.
  • Occasional monetary collections from Customers (including cash accounts).
  • Assist with loading and un-loading of vehicles.
  • Assist to maintain the vehicle in a roadworthy manner, through Company Practices and Procedures.
  • Ensure legal compliance is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure documentation is correct to vehicle & load prior to vehicle release from site.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and on-time.

About you:

  • Previous experience within a similar role.
  • Experience of multi-drop deliveries.
  • Experience in completing driver check-sheets and paperwork.
  • Excellent work ethic and customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (C - Class 2) or (C+E – Class 1).
  • DCPC Licence.
