Micheldever Tyres has a great opportunity for a Stock Operative to join our evolving business. This is a multi-functional role with primary duties of picking orders, locating and putting stock away. Reporting to the Stock Supervisor, you will be required to assist in the efficient, accurate movement and location of stock in the Warehouse. The role involves manual handling of tyres and occasional Van or Forklift Truck driving duties.
We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals with a strong work ethic and good customer service skills.
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 16:30, Friday 07:30 - 17:00

Training Opportunities: Micheldever has strong Development Routes Programme and general learning on health and safety and other warehouse/logistics related topics.
About the role:
- Plan optimized use of storage space by effectively allocating stock within the Warehouse environment.
- Ensure high levels of accuracy in stock audits and aisle audits.
- Ensure efficient 'sighting’ of stock.
- Assist to ensure efficient rotation and condensing of stock into appropriate locations.
- Assist with investigations of stock anomalies.
- Assist in stock returns and customer returns procedures.
- Assist in the booking of stock onto system.
- Assist in the issue of credit notes to customers.
- Update system with Stock Movement, Adjustments and Errors file.
- Ensure goods received into the Warehouse are checked off as complete and correct to manifest, with any discrepancies noted clearly and signed for by both parties on relevant paperwork.
- You will be required to work some weekends to support operational stock takes, an average of 3 a year, this will attract overtime payments.
