Micheldever Tyres is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Warehouse Shift Supervisor with excellent work ethic to join our team. Reporting to the Shift Manager/Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the warehouse shift operation through a team of warehouse operatives and/or drivers. Supporting the Shift Manager/Operations Manager, you will create operational plans and implement the company's Standard Operational Policies, Procedures and Practices including Health and Safety.
You will take a proactive approach to drive the shift forward with new initiatives, whilst creating a positive working environment and culture for team members.
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday 17:00 - 02:30

- Must have Warehouse/Logistics experience, with proven leadership skills.
- Please be aware heavy lifting is involved.

About the role:
- Creating daily and weekly plans as required
- Drive efficiencies, whilst improving service levels
- Accountable for ensuring all team members comply with all aspects of legal and company-defined legislations and policies
- Monitoring and control of process accuracy
- Promote and drive company initiatives effectively
- Support the Shift Manager/Operations Manager to maximise stock levels and product availability
- Maintain accurate records to ensure legal compliance
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to excellent customer service
About You:
- Demonstrable leadership skills
- Experience of Health & Safety management in a similar environment
- Experience in a supervisory role preferred
- Previous warehouse operations experience/logistics operations preferred
- Experience of creating operational plans ideal but not essential
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
