We are looking for a confident, organised and proactive individual to join our friendly Northwood team as a Head Receptionist / Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, patient-focused environment and is ready to take on additional responsibility. You will play an important role in overseeing the reception function, supporting the team and ensuring our patients receive a warm, professional and seamless experience.
About the Role:
- Location: Northwood β 1 Murray Road, Northwood, Middlesex, HA6 2YP
- Hours: Full-time β 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the reception team, setting a professional and welcoming tone
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the reception and administrative functions
- Provide an exceptional and professional experience for patients
- Manage patient enquiries, telephone calls, emails and appointments
- Support the team with organisation, communication and day-to-day administration
- Help ensure practice procedures and standards are consistently followed
- Assist with rotas, team coordination and general administrative tasks
- Identify and resolve issues proactively and efficiently
- Work closely with the Practice Manager and wider team to support the smooth running of the practice
About You:
- Previous experience in a reception or administrative role
- Previous experience working within a dental practice would be highly advantageous
- Confident and professional when communicating with patients and colleagues
- Highly organised, reliable and able to prioritise effectively
- Proactive and able to use initiative
- Comfortable working in a busy environment and managing competing priorities
- A natural team player who is confident taking responsibility
- Professional, approachable and passionate about delivering excellent patient care
- Previous experience in a senior reception or administrative role would be advantageous
