Michaela Community School is a celebrated free school located in Wembley, rated Outstanding by Ofsted and known for record-breaking Progress 8, GCSE and A‑level outcomes. The school operates a ‘mastery’ curriculum at KS3, emphasising depth over breadth, and is committed to safeguarding and equal opportunity for all children.

We are looking for a dedicated teacher who can ideally work across the lower and upper school, teaching from Year 7 through to Year 13. Candidates may also apply if their expertise is limited to either the lower or upper years. The role involves ownership of the classroom, developing authentic relationships with pupils and contributing to the high‑standard behaviour system that allows innovative teaching.

Teaching Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop the mastery curriculum at Key Stage 3, with a focus on times tables, written numeracy and algebraic processes.
  • Plan and deliver lessons for Years 7 to 13, adapting content to meet the needs of both lower and upper school students.
  • Support pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds, aiming to transform their lives and reach high academic achievement.
  • Own your classroom, apply the school’s behaviour system, and innovate in ways that benefit student learning.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and share practice with colleagues.
Qualifications & Experience
  • All levels of experience are welcomed – from unqualified candidates, education community trainees (ECTs), to experienced teachers.
  • Ability to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through training with the school is available.
  • Successful candidates will complete an Enhanced Disclosure via DBS and provide necessary police checks.
  • Strong enthusiasm for encouraging teenage learners and a commitment to exceptional teaching standards.
