Michaela Community School is an exciting and successful free school that opened in September 2014 in Wembley and is rated Outstanding by Ofsted. Responsibilities
- Teach English across Year 7 through Year 13, with the possibility to teach a range of year groups depending on the candidate’s strengths.
- Deliver a mastery curriculum, focusing on depth over breadth and engaging with challenging texts from the start of Year 7.
- Promote reading for all pupils and support students from varied backgrounds to access classic and notable literature.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pupils and collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
- Operate within our behaviour systems to create a productive learning environment and to try approaches that work best for your pupils.
- Own your classroom, foster authentic teacher–pupil relationships, and contribute to school culture and development.
- Contribute to the school community, with opportunities for promotion and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Applications welcome from unqualified candidates, ECTs, and more experienced teachers who are able to obtain QTS.
- Willingness to teach across key stages, including potential Year 7 to Year 13 responsibilities.
