Salary: £80,000 + £500 Car Allowance per Month + Mileage (25p/mile)

Hybrid Working: 1 day in office | 1 day from home | regular site visits

The Opportunity

We’re representing a respected regional main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, technically complex projects across the South and Midlands. With a turnover of around £40 million, this business continues to expand through repeat business and long-term client partnerships in specialist sectors including high-performance engineering, healthcare, and commercial environments.

The company is now seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to oversee MEP coordination and delivery across multiple live projects. This is an opportunity to take ownership of technically engaging schemes and work in a supportive, forward-thinking environment that values technical excellence and delivery consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the MEP and technical delivery of 1–3 projects at any one time, typically valued between £2M and £10M.

Oversee MEP coordination and integration from early survey and concept design stages through to completion and client handover.

Lead technical reviews, coordination meetings, and system sign-offs to ensure quality, compliance, and buildability.

Work closely with project managers, consultants, and specialist subcontractors to maintain alignment on programme and design intent.

Oversee specialist systems packages delivered through trusted subcontractors.

Visit each project regularly to review progress, quality, and interface coordination.

Provide technical leadership and support to operational delivery teams.

About You

Experienced Technical Services Manager, Building Services Manager, or Senior MEP Engineer working for a main contractor or developer.

Strong background in mechanical, electrical, and public health systems.

Comfortable managing multiple projects and coordinating across design, commercial, and site delivery teams.

Excellent communicator, proactive problem-solver, and technically detail-oriented.

Based within reach of Reading, with flexibility to cover projects in Oxford, Banbury (Silverstone), and Central London.
